Would you like to do Relay+ in the area of Administration, Projects, Events, or Hospitality? You will have an opportunity to gain experience in a busy Logistics team, volunteering for a Christian charity in a welcoming office environment.
You’ll need to have a pro-active approach to tasks and be willing to try your hand at different responsibilities. There’s a broad range of work on offer, such as organizing intimate 20 person conferences all the way up to help with different aspects of our flagship conference Forum (1400+ people on site). Projects could include arranging an artwork exhibition in our headquarters, getting involved in planning the filming for Impact groups; helping with the new Uncover project or making sure our summer teams go ahead.
To begin with, you’ll be set specific tasks but as the year progresses, you’ll have the chance to plan and manage your own workload too.
You can expect to gain experience in a range of areas such as how to:
• Work with budgets
• Project management / event plan
• Learn how to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Communicate to a variety of audiences from students to speakers
• Procure various elements for the work
• Use event-specific software (in-house Content Management System)
• Chairing meetings
• Work alongside other teams to achieve our aims
• Ensure legal and governance compliance in various areas of the work
