Head of Strategic Research.
Tim’s role focusses on long-term research so that UCCF can better equip Christian students to see the connection between the gospel and their studies. How do the academic disciplines point us toward Christ for evangelism and worship, and how does Christ’s Lordship change the way we study for God’s glory at university?
Based in Cambridge, Tim leads the work of UCCF Research in which he has a variety of vision-setting ministry roles within or in partnership with UCCF, and also undertakes part-time PhD research dedicated to the work. His roles include helping the Cambridge CU leadership think about faculty outreach, training UCCF Leadership Network staff, pioneering UCCF and IFES Europe’s new Postgraduate Initiative ‘Good News for the University’ in partnership with Forming a Christian Mind, and coordinating the FEUER Academic Speakers network of European academics who seek to share the gospel using their academic platform. In all this work he enjoys the assistance of his colleague Anja Lijcklama a Nijeholt - UCCF’s Strategic Research Associate.
Tim had a happy time with OICCU and English Literature at Oxford, before becoming a banking lawyer in London, and getting heavily stuck in to the Lawyers' Christian Fellowship. Since then he has attended theological college and worked closely with IFES movements in Europe. He is married to Katherine and they love walking in the countryside, listening to music and watching anything historical.
Please give now to support Tim’s vital work with Christian Unions. We can’t do this without you.
