CU Staff Worker in our South East region.
Hello! My name is Rebecca and I am really excited to start working with UCCF as the staff worker for the Christian Unions at Winchester and Reading Universities. I studied Primary Education at Winchester University and since graduating, have taught in a Primary School for five years. I loved my time at university and was fully involved in the Christian Union, both in Winchester and abroad, travelling to Ukraine during multiple summers to partner with the Christian Union movement there.
Despite the many challenges that the independence of University life brought me, I found that it gave me a great amount of time, space and freedom to explore new things. The Christian Union played a huge part in allowing me to explore some of life's big questions and to grow in my Christian faith. It equipped me, as a young adult, in knowing how to build my life on a Biblical foundation and opened my eyes to what it could look like to live as a modern-day disciple of Jesus in the workplace and in a culturally diverse world. It provided me with opportunities to not only share my faith but to grow in an understanding of how to do it and why it is important.
As a staff worker, I am excited to similarly inspire the current student generation. From September, I will have opportunities to equip, disciple and encourage students to live for Jesus as disciples and witnesses in their universities and beyond. I am really looking forward to getting alongside and supporting CU members, to help them reach out to other students with the good news of the gospel.
Please give now to support Rebecca’s vital work with Christian Unions. We can’t do this without you.
