Relay Worker in our Central region.
Bethan is doing Relay in Cambridge, supporting the Christian Unions in Anglia Ruskin University - Cambridge and the University of Cambridge.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Bethan says...
Hi there! My name is Bethan and I have just finished my maths degree in Oxford. Over the past three years I have been very involved with the Christian Union. I have seen first hand what an amazing opportunity university is to share the good news of Jesus with students in open conversations with my friends. I have also been really grateful for the support of the UCCF team both in joining in these conversations and offering support and resources along the way. One particular friend of mine has been on a journey from listening to a talk given by the relay worker at the time to being part of a discussion group with our staff worker in Oxford and coming to church and reading uncover Mark with me.
Having seen the impact being involved with the Christian union can have, I am super excited to be moving to Cambridge to join the CU movement there to encourage, support and learn from the students there! Another really exciting part of the year ahead will be getting to dig deeper into the mysteries of God’s word and learning to apply the truths of the Bible into my life this year and beyond.
As with everything in life, this new adventure is only possible by God’s grace and His strength sustaining me. During the course of my time as a relay worker, I would love for you to partner with me by praying for me, and consider financially supporting me. I will need to raise around £11000 for my living and ministry costs this year, which is equivalent to 37 people giving £30 per month, or 22 people giving £50 per month.
