Anja serves within UCCF Research, which co-ordinates ministry with postgraduates and academics in the UK and Europe, and which provides training to the staff of Leadership Network.
UCCF Research seeks to help postgraduate students reconnect their studies and the gospel in a way that is shaped by a clear evangelical theological paradigm, equipping them to both contribute to their academic field in the light of the gospel, and to make use of the opportunities in their work to point people to Christ through persuasive evangelism. Anja also helps coordinate the FEUER (Fellowship of Evangelists in the Universities of Europe) Academic Speakers’ Network, which encourages academics to partner with student outreach, showing the relevance and credibility of the gospel through public lectures and dialogues in the universities of Europe.
Anja is Dutch-American and studied Chinese at Leiden University, The Netherlands. She then served as a missionary intern in Taiwan, and as a ministry trainee for international students in Sheffield. She most recently completed an MA in Theology at Oak Hill Theological College, and is now based in Cambridge.
